Karen has spent her life involved in the arts, first the performing arts, and now, fine art.  Because of her contagious enthusiasm and inherent teaching ability, Karen inspires and encourages children and adults alike to express themselves through the arts. She finds this wellspring of inspiration from her interaction with people from diverse cultures and of all ages.  "The joy is in the process of the painting itself; any outcome from that process is purely the icing on the cake.  I feel so fortunate to be able to combine work and play in two careers during one lifetime."
